Thanksgiving is more than a day of parades, football, and special dinners; it's a day where family and friends come together to give thanks for the great abundance in their lives. At Althea Woodland, we joined our residents in celebration.
Our culinary director, Sonia Goddard, led her staff to cook a feast for our residents and their loved ones. Some of the delicious items prepared included roasted turkey, candied yams, seasoned greens, garlic bread sticks, and pumpkin pie (naturally).
“Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of Thanksgiving.” ― W.T. Purkiser
